Meet Georgia Weir
Georgia Weir is a proud Aboriginal woman, marathon runner, and founder of Deadly Runners — a First Nations–owned social enterprise using running as a powerful tool for health, connection, and opportunity. What began as Georgia’s personal healing journey has grown into a national movement fostering cultural pride, resilience, and wellbeing. A 2025 Westpac Social Change Fellow and 2024 NAIDOC Person of the Year finalist, Georgia’s leadership has helped hundreds of First Nations people gain qualifications, complete marathons, and connect to Country. Her story embodies self-determination and the power of community-led change.
